Donald L. Houtz, of Falls City, NE, 76, succumbed to cancer and was taken to be with the Lord on January 18, 2018 at 3:35 a.m. He was born in Holton, KS on March 22, 1941.

Donnie moved to Stella, where he attended school and graduated in 1959. During his school years, he played basketball, track and football. He loved to sit on the banks of the Muddy River and fish as a child and fishing became a past time he enjoyed and excelled at throughout his life.

He enjoyed playing cards, watching wrestling, and collecting coins, Zippo lighters, and antiques. He also enjoyed and occasionally won playing Sizzling seven slot machines at White Cloud Casino. During his retirement he enjoyed his time with his little dog and buddy, Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rose and Glen Houtz of Stella; his sisters, Gigi (Mary) Messick of Kennewick, WA.

Survivors include, his sons, Darren Jorgensen of San Antonio, TX, Danny Jorgensen of Aurora, CO; daughters, Kimberly Jorgensen of Mobile, AL, Danielle Rhodes of Kennewick, WA, Darcy Baldwin of Phoenix, AZ; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. Donald Houtz will be laid to rest with his parents and other family members at Prairie Union Cemetery in Shubert, NE.
