Evelyn Delores (Bowers) Standridge

Evelyn Delores (Bowers) Standridge, 91, of Falls City, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.  She was born on March 10, 1932 in Barada, Nebraska.  Evelyn was the third of four children born to Delbert and Daisy (Kirkendall) Bowers.  She is preceded in death by her parents; step-father Harold Williams, older sister Lafayle Mae, an older brother Duane Bowers, husband J.W. Standridge, oldest son Michael Graden, youngest daughter Brenda Schulenberg, son-in-law Roger Schulenberg, and sister-in-law Shirley Bowers.

Evelyn is survived by her five children: Pam Kuker and her husband Daryl of Dodge City, KS; Melody Lambert and husband Dave of Kenney, IL; Kevin Vice and his wife Tammie of Highlandville, MO; Rodney Vice of Lincoln, NE; Greg Vice and his wife Chris of Falls City, NE; daughter-in-law Donna Graden of Plano, TX; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; her brother Del Bowers of Falls City, NE; sister-in-law Jean Bowers of Killeen, TX; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Private family services and inurnment at the Harris Cemetery in Barada, Nebraska will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given the family’s choice with a later designation.
