Donald "Don" Henry Kermeen

Donald Henry Kermeen, 71, of Falls City, Nebraska was born on September 9, 1947, in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Joseph Henry and Virginia Mae (Deyo) Kermeen.  He was raised in Council Bluffs with his family and attended school there.  On January 6, 1977, Donald was united in marriage to Kitty Lou McConnell.  To this union three children, Heidi, Jennifer and Robert were born. Don was a member of the Falls City Volunteer Fire Department for many years.  While living in Falls City, he worked at the Coop, Orscheln Farm & Home Supply, Pizza Hut, and Casino White Cloud.  Don was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Don passed away in Stacy, Minnesota on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 having reached the age of 71 years, 2 months, and 4 days.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kitty Lou (McConnell) Kermeen, a daughter Jennifer Marie, sisters Patty Berrier and Pauline Tiermey, and brothers Bill Kermeen, Leonard Groat, Joe Kermeen, and Steven Kermeen.

Don is survived by his loving special friend Wendy Olson of Falls City, NE; daughter Heidi Forke and husband Brian of Blue Springs, NE; son Robert Kermeen and special friend Thersa Nicholson of Omaha, NE; grandsons Brian Lee Jr. and Caleb Forke of Blue Springs, NE; a brother Dennis Kermeen and wife Patty of Council Bluffs, IA; sisters: Sandra Brennan and husband Donald of Plattsmouth, NE; Virginia Moorehouse and husband Rick of Kansas City, MO; Yvonne Hall and special friend Jesse Schultz of Omaha, NE; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at the Mound (Prospect) Cemetery in rural Humboldt, Nebraska with Wayne Shafer officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2018, at The Hall Funeral Home, 2403 Harlan Street, in Falls City, Nebraska.  Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
