Martin Lee Haith, 61, of Brock, Nebraska was born on May 3, 1957 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Bobbie Richard and Jeanette Arlene (Williamson) Haith. He spent his early childhood years growing up in the Brock area where he attended school. Martin enlisted in the U.S. Army and entered into active duty in August of 1975. While serving in the military, he received his high school diploma from Fort Campbell High School in Fort Campbell, Kentucky and also attended some college courses. Martin was honorably discharge from active service in August of 1978 and returned to Nebraska.
On November 22, 1995, Martin was united in marriage to Shelley Martin in Auburn, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Brock where Martin worked various jobs, but mostly as a mechanic. He also served on the Brock Volunteer Fire Department.
Martin passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019, at Bryan LGH Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska having reached the age of sixty-one years, eight months, and fifteen days. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Richard Haith, an infant brother Robert and brother-in-law Jay Snethen.
Martin is survived by his loving wife Shelley Haith of Brock, children: Crystal Ervin of Nebraska City, Steven Sherman of Nebraska City, Laura Low and husband Chris of Strafford, MO; Arlene Haith of Brock, grandchildren: Edward, C.J., and Kane Low of Strafford, MO; Madison Ney of Sidney, IA; Kayden Sherman-Olson of Omaha, NE; Hailie, Ashlee and Rhiley Ervin of Nebraska City, brothers: Randy Haith of Choctaw, OK; John Haith and wife Julie of Syracuse, NE; Terry Haith and wife Tina of Choctaw, OK; a sister Kris Ogle and husband Scott of Dawson, NE; father & mother in-law Robert and Glenda Martin of Lexington, NE; sisters-in-law: Sheila Martin of Minnesota, Natalie Stockinger and husband George of Putnam Valley, NY; Cassandra Greene and husband Peter of Cozad, NE; Bonnie Haith of Brock, NE; brother-in-law Robert Martin and wife Heather of Minnesota, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
