Albert Allen Obituary
Albert R. Allen, son of Elmer E. Allen and Lillian (Minich) Allen was born in Nemaha, NE on September 24, 1922. He was one of five children born to this union.
Albert was raised in Nemaha and he graduated from Nemaha High School. He attended Peru State College for one semester.
He entered the United States Air Force in 1943 and served his country during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945. Through the years he had been an active member of American Legion Post # 23 and a member of 40-8.
Albert was united in marriage to Donna Anderson in November of 1942 and together they had one daughter. Donna passed away in August of 1943, then on December 17, 1945 Albert married Dorothy A. Meyerkorth in Hiawatha, KS. There were two children born to this marriage.
Albert was a farmer though out his life. He was a devoted husband and loving father. Due to ongoing illness Albert passed away at the Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, on Monday, August 23, 2004. He had reached the age of 81 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna and wife Dorothy who passed away February 17, 1996, one son Larry Allen, and one grandchild.
Those left to mourn his passing are his daughters, Patricia Attebery and husband Dave of San Antonio, TX; Sandra Streit of Auburn, NE; three grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
