Alice M. (Davis) West

Obit:

Alice Mae Davis daughter of Harry R. Davis and Cora M. (Shively) Davis was born on September 23, 1934 in Peru, NE.

She was one of seven children born to this union.

She grew up in Nemaha and Richardson counties and graduated from Shubert High School in 1953. She raised two sons Craig and Randy Davis,

On December 4, 1971 she was united in marriage to Leonard West in Humboldt, NE.

Alice worked at the 9^th street Café in Falls City and the Falls City Creamery. She also worked at Missouri Beef for many years.

She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary and V.F.W. in Peru. Alice enjoyed playing cards and being outdoors.

Due to ill health Alice entered the Golden Living Center in Nebraska City.

It is there that on Sunday, March 24, having reached the age of 78 years, 6 months and 1 day Alice passed away.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard in 2000, son Randy Davis,

 brothers, Clarence, Willis, Paul, Nobel, Carl, and Robert, one grandson Dameon Keeton.

She is survived by her son Craig Davis and wife Mary of Nemaha, NE; step-children,

 Lynn Wurtele and husband Dale of Nebraska City, NE; Mark West and wife Julie of Talmage, NE;

Grandchildren, Kim Maddox of Shubert, NE; Heath Davis of Shubert, NE; Matthew Davis of Lincoln, NE;

Molly Hermann of Nebraska City, NE; John Wurtele of Nebraska City, NE;

 great grandchildren, Lacey Keeton of Shubert, NE; Adelynn Maddox of Shubert, NE;

great-great-grandchildren, Kameon, Tristin, Millie, and Grayson, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Alice M. West will be held Thursday, March 28, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, NE. Burial will follow at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Peru, NE.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 27 from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 at the Funeral Home.
