Anita Inez (Miller) DeLong

Anita Inez (Miller) DeLong, known by all those who knew and loved her as “Neen” 68, of Falls City, Nebraska passed away peacefully on Thursday, October. 30, 2025 at her home. She was born on May 29, 1957, in Falls City, Nebraska to Melvin and Celia (Hellwig) Miller. Neen was raised in Rulo, Nebraska, attending grade school there before graduating from Falls City High School in 1975. Neen was united in marriage to Edward DeLong on April 20, 1979, in Falls City, Nebraska. Together Neen and Ed raised three children, later reaping the rewards of their hard work by gaining a total of eight grandchildren.

A devoted wife, mom, sister and “Nanny Neenie”, Neen dedicated much of her life caring for others. Neen worked various jobs, some of the most notable being a waitress at Cross Town, a nursing assistant at Community Medical Center, a nighttime stocker at Wal Mart, and a custodian at Falls City High School before retiring to stay home and be a caretaker to her husband.

Neen often loved to leave her kids and grandkids with a final “love you more” before they had the chance to say it last. They would like to take this time to leave Neen with a “love you more” until they are able to meet again.

Neen is survived her daughters, Shawna Bindle (Brian) and Desir’ee Heaton, Falls City, NE, grandchildren:  Bailey Cromer (Brady), Brownville, NE and Brody Bindle, Omaha, NE; Kayden DeLong and Jenson DeLong, Rulo NE; Corey Murphy, Tristan Vitale, Nick Heaton and Isaac Heaton, Falls City, NE; sisters: Connie Elrod (Scott), White Cloud, KS and Toni (Wayne) Allen, Salem, NE.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Kyle DeLong and brothers Duane Rhodd and Rick Rhodd.

Graveside Inurnment Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Rulo Cemetery in Rulo, Nebraska with Pastor Tim Boatright officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2025 at Hall Funeral Home, 2403 Harlan Street in Falls City. Family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m.  

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family’s choice with a later designation.
