Bessie P. Whitlow, age 94, of Auburn, NE. Passed away Wednesday, September 15, at the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn. A funeral mass for Bessie P. Whitlow will be held Saturday, September 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Auburn. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery south of Auburn.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn.
A Rosary will be held Friday, September 17, at 7:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn.

Bessie P. Sitzman daughter of George Sitzman and Anna Didlo Sitzman, was born on May 28, 1916 on a farm near St. Joseph, MO. She was one of seven children born to this union.
Bessie was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph, MO. In 1929 She was confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Auburn, NE where she remained a life long member. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School her 9th and 10th grade year graduating from Auburn High School in 1933.
Bessie was united in marriage to Raymond Whitlow in 1937 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph, MO. To this marriage three children were born. They lived two years in St. Joseph, MO, and in Omaha for seven years. After returning to Auburn, Bessie was always active in the church. She was a member of the Tabernacle Society, she cherished her faith and her relationship with God. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother.
Bessie due to failing health entered the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn. It is there that she passed away having reached the age of 94 years, 3 months, and 18 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, three sisters and one great-grandson.
Those left to mourn her passing are her children, Betty Miller of Papillion, NE, Barbara Tanner of Auburn, NE, Peter Whitlow and wife Sue of Madison, TN, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
