Betty Jane (Olson) Strecker

Betty Jane (Olson) Strecker, 94, Milford, NE, formerly of Rulo, NE, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Sunrise Country Manor in Lincoln.  She was born March 7, 1926 in Decatur, NE. Betty graduated from Rulo High School in 1943 and married Lawrence Strecker on February 3, 1943 in Rulo, NE. They lived on the family farm until 2008. After selling the farm they moved to the Legacy in Lincoln. In 2013 they moved to Sunrise Country Manor in Milford, NE. Betty was a farm wife for many years and in her later years she worked for a grocery store, JC Penney’s and was a nurse aide for the Community hospital all of Falls City, NE.

Survivors include her children, Gerald Strecker of Primghar, IA, Linda Lile (Harvey) of Lincoln, NE, Mary Lynn Burnett of Wichita, KS and William “Bill” Strecker (Diana) of Crook, CO; grandchildren, Tracy Strecker of Waco, TX, Christopher Strecker (Tamera) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Renae Florack (Scott) Warton, N.J., Paul Strecker (Kerri) of Lisbon, IA; Laura Reighard (Lee) of Chicago, IL, Jennifer Brown (Leighann) of Gahanna, OH, Lisa Rea (Mike) of Battle Creek, MI, Keith Lile (Melissa) of Milford, NE, Jason Burnett of Wichita, KS, Jeremy Burnett of Wichita, KS, Matthew Burnett of Rogers, AR, William Strecker (Lynaia) Crook, CO, Patrick Strecker of Minden, NV, Steven Strecker (Jennifer) of West Des Moines, IA; great-grandchildren, Jared Florack, Zakary, Benjamin, Nicholas, Emily, Gabriel, Alexander, Ethen and Jacob Strecker, Airman Elizabeth Brown, Steven Brown, Airman Alec Rea, Eleanor Rea, Sienna Burnett, Kyle, SheaLynn, and Marcas Strecker, Andrew Smith, and Morgan Lile; step-great-grandchildren, Jasmyne Terrell, Kaiden and Alysia Imhoff; numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Frank, and Mae (Allen) Olson; husband, Lawrence; son, Allyn C. Strecker; siblings, Edene Brown, Hazel Caverzagie, Wilda Watt, Doris Fredrick, Lorraine Cobb, Robert Olson, and George Olson.

A Rosary will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rulo, NE with Father David Oldman officiating.  Masks are suggested and all CDC guidelines will be followed. Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, rural Rulo, NE.  Visitation will be held Thursday, September 24, 2020 from noon to 8:00 P.M. at the Hall Funeral Home in Falls City, NE.  A memorial is suggested to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rulo, NE with the Funeral Home in charge. www.hallfuneral.net Hall Funeral Home in Falls City in charge of arrangements.
