Billy L. Hersh

Billy L. Hersh age 84, of Falls City, NE, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Falls City Health Care in Falls City, NE. A graveside funeral service for Billy Hersh will be held Wednesday, August 7, at 10:00 a.m. at the Steele Cemetery in Falls City.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 6, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home in Falls City.

Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church

Obituary:

Billy L. Hersh son of Leo E. Hersh and Letha (McCormick) Hersh was born on November 4, 1928 in Cherryvale, KS. He was one of ten children born to this union.

Billy was raised in Kansas he attended rural school thru the 8th grade. As a young man he moved to Falls City, NE where he remained a life long resident. On March 10, 1949 he was united in marriage to Betty Duerfeldt to this marriage three daughters were born.

Billy was a truck driver and retired from the Circle Steele Company. Due to recent illness Billy entered Falls City Health Care and it is there that on Saturday, August 3, 2013 he passed away. He had reached the age of 84 years, 9 months, and 30 days.

Billy was preceeded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, and one grandson.
He is survived by his wife Betty Hersh of Falls City, NE; three daughters, Carol King (Jim) of Omaha, NE; Donna Simpson (John) of Falls City, NE; Billie Mackey of Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 4 sisters, other relatives and friends.
