Billy Murphy Obituary
Billy D. Murphy, 71, of Falls City, NE, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Falls City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. There will be no viewing. Friends and family may sign the register at the Hall Funeral Home in Falls City from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday November 2nd. A private family burial will follow at a later date.
Billy Dean Murphy son of Lloyd Raymond Murphy Sr. and Kathryn Lucinda Sargent was born on October 30, 1944 in Falls City, NE.
Billy was raised in Falls City and attended school through the 8th grade. He lived in southeast Nebraska all his life. He worked construction mostly and as a farm hand. He loved listening to music and playing the guitar. He spent most his time outdoors Billy enjoyed fish and camping, he cherished his little dog Gizmo. He first entered Colonial Acres in Humboldt and in April of 2007 due to ongoing illness Billy entered the Falls City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Falls City. It is there that on Saturday October 31, 2015 just one day after his seventy-first birthday Billy passed away. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by brothers and sisters, Judy (Buddy) Cochran of Shubert, NE; Bobbie (Arland) Schroder of Eagle, NE; Kelly (Shawn) Waggoner of Eagle, NE; Leslie (Val) Hoy of Macon, GA; Scotty Hoy of Humboldt, NE; Kalina (Cliff) Strode of Camdenton, MO; Diana (Jesse) Perez of Houston, TX; Mary Ann Mendez of Nebraska City, NE; Terry (Anne) Hoy of Omaha, NE; Rocky Hoy of Plano, TX; Roger (Roxanne) Hoy of Dunbar, NE; Orville (Dixie) Hoy of Falls City, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
