Charles C. Thompson, age 79, of Auburn, NE. Passed away Monday,August 22, 2005. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 25, at 2:30 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, NE Burial will follow at the Howell Cemetery near Auburn.
A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 24, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel.
He is survived by nephews and nieces, Jay and Rita Simpson of Auburn, NE; Don and Pat Ramold of Nebraska City, NE; Sharon Wachter of Warrenton, GA; Steve Harrington of Virginia Beach, VA; Adrian Harrington of Atlanta GA; and brother in law John Brown of Virginia Beach VA; other relatives and many friends.

OBITUARY
CHARLES THOMPSON
Charles Thompson son of Ora Thompson and Madge (Lytle) Thompson was born on a farm September 6, 1925 in Vandalia, MO. He was one of three children born to this marriage.
Charles and his family moved to Nemaha County in 1936. He received his early education at a rural school near Perry, MO and at a rural school northwest of Auburn, NE. He attended and graduated from Auburn High School in Auburn, NE.
He was united in marriage to Erma M. Howell on October 21, 1950 in Seneca, Kansas. Charles farmed for many years and after retirement he and his wife managed the High Rise in Auburn until 1982. Charles enjoyed evening drives, talking about the old times and he especially loved his Pekinese and Terrier dogs.
Due to illness Charles had entered the Bryan LGH West Hospital in Lincoln, NE and it was there that he passed away having reached the age of 79 years, 11 months and 16 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Erma who passed away August 25, 1998, brother Merle and a sister who passed away at infancy.
He is survived by nephews and nieces, Jay and Rita Simpson of Auburn, NE; Don and Pat Ramold of Nebraska City, NE; Sharon Wachter of Warrenton, GA; Steve Harrington of Virginia Beach, VA; Adrian Harrington of Atlanta, GA; brother-in-law John Brown of Virginia Beach, VA; other relatives and many friends.
