Clyde H. Huey

Clyde H. Huey, age 87, of Auburn, NE ,formerly of Nemaha, passed away Wednesday, July 22, at the Good Samaritan in Auburn. A funeral service for Clyde Huey will be held Friday, July 24, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn. Burial will follow at the Harris Cemetery in Barada, NE.

Viewing and visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 at the funeral chapel.

Obituary
Clyde H. Huey son of Russell H. Huey and Opal Ross (Beer) Huey was born on August 29 1927 in Auburn, NE. He attended school in Auburn, Nemaha, and Shubert.

After school Clyde enlisted in the United States Navy in October of 1945. He served one year of duty in San Diego, CA and was honorably discharged in October of 1946.  

He was united in marriage to Shirley Vice on October 25, 1947 in Humboldt, NE. To this marriage five children were born.
Clyde worked different jobs throughout his life. He drove truck, worked on the river, and as a custodian at Peru State College.
Clyde lived in Nemaha most his life. He loved his dogs, cats, and all his wild animals he would care for.

Due to ill health Clyde entered the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn, NE. It is there that on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 having reached the age of 87 years, 10 months, and 23 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley in 1982, one son John and one great-grandchild Shelby.
He is survived by his children, Linda McMann of Auburn, NE; Paula Hays and husband Gary of Shubert, NE; Rick Huey of Nemaha, NE; daughter-in-law Karen Huey, Jim Huey and wife Linda of Waterloo, IA;  fourteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, one sister Deloris Keithley of Stover, MO; other relatives and friends.
