Daniel William Horner, 53, of Falls City, Nebraska was born on February 6, 1972, in Tecumseh, Nebraska to Dennis and Rita (Rowland) Horner. He graduated from Troy High School in Troy, Kansas with the class of 1992. After graduation, Daniel enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard and entered into active duty in Seneca, Kansas on December 17, 1993. He served overseas in two tours of duty during Desert Storm and was honorably discharged on September 21, 2007. Daniel moved back to Falls City, Nebraska to be closer to his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and reading Louis Lamar books.
Daniel passed away on July 5, 2025, at his home in Falls City, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of fifty-three years, four months, and twenty-nine days. He was preceded in death by his parents Rita Rowland and Dennis Horner.
Daniel is survived by his sisters: Brenda Alexander of Falls City, Tracie Horner and husband Ray Crane of Falls City, nieces: Ashley Montoya of North Carolina, Shianne Uitts and husband Matt of Joplin, MO; Yolanda Montoya of Falls City, nephews: Lucas Birdsley of Falls City, Tyler Mackey and wife Amanda of Pawnee City, NE; Nicholas Owens-Horner of Falls City, and many other aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
