Obituary
Darla D. (Smiley) Tyson, 83 years of age, of Nemaha passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha. She was born on February 4, 1939 in Omaha to Arthur and Grace (Ferguson) Smiley. Darla graduated from Nehawka High School. She was a librarian for over 30 years with Nebraska City Public Schools. Darla enjoyed video games, cards on Tuesday’s, traveling, casinos and car shows.
Darla is survived by her son, Robert Eacret of Nebraska City; grandchildren, Monica Sherwood, Tyler Eacret, Andy Eacret and fiancée Sarai Robles, Beau Eacret; several other step grandchildren; great granddaughter, Destany Sherwood; and several other step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry in 2020; and son, William Eacret.
Graveside inurnment services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2022 in the Nemaha Cemetery near Nemaha. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
