David Lester Oestmann

David Lester Oestmann, 74, of Beatrice passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Beatrice Community Hospital in Beatrice, Nebraska.  He was born on April 7, 1950, in Humboldt, Nebraska to Lester and Ellen (Kuper) Oestmann.  David was raised with his family until the age of six when he moved to Beatrice, Nebraska and became a resident of the Beatrice State Developmental Center.  He was preceded in death by his parents and other extended family.

David is survived by his brothers: Paul Oestmann and his wife Carrolyn of Fort Calhoun, NE; Ralph Oestmann and his wife Kelly of Lincoln, NE; and other relatives and friends. 

A Graveside Inurnment will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Martin Luther Cemetery in rural Johnson, Nebraska with Pastor Ken Tubbesing officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
