Obituary:

Deanne Marie Hahn passed away peacefully at age 78 with her family at her bedside, in Boulder, CO on January 1, 2016.  She was born on a farm near Brock Nebraska to Frank and Evelyn Peters on June 11, 1937. Deanne attended grade school in Talmage,NE, graduated from Johnson NE High School and later a business school in Omaha, NE. She retired from the U.S. Government National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency in January 2000.  Deanne and Ted enjoyed careers and raising their family together in Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, California, Iowa and Colorado.

She married H.T. (Ted) Hahn at the Johnson Zion Lutheran church in 1958.  The love of two grew to a family of 22. Deanne and Ted were blessed with, and proud of their four children (Lori, Todd, Craig and Scott), 7 granddaughters and 5 grandsons. Each sibling has 3 children. Their families are:  Lori and Brice Bartusek of Arvada, CO, Todd and Andrea of Irvine TX, Craig and Linda of Erie, CO, Scott and Kim of Erie, CO Deanne is survived by husband Ted of Boulder, CO, sisters: Phyllis  McFarland (Doug) Centennial, CO, Barbara Moerer (Gary) Lincoln, NE, Judy Eichenberger (Bob)Talmage, NE, Annette Peterson (Terry) Auburn, NE and brother Gary Peters (Bev) Gravois Mills, MO.

Family was always the most important treasure to Deanne. She celebrated her 57th Anniversary with her husband Ted while at the hospital on the Monday before her passing. Ted and Deanne travelled extensively upon retirement and always included annual Christmas  visits to Nebraska as well as many family reunions and get togethers with the entire extended family. She was an avid bridge player, sharing many friendships and over 45 years at the card table  with her “girlfriends” while living in Boulder Colo.  She will forever be remembered for her sweet, sacrificial love, her commitment to her family and her eternal love for her husband.

Anyone who knew her could never say an unkind word about her and she was never heard to say an unkind word about anyone else-instead always offering a word of encouragement or understanding. Deanne had a subtle but quick sense of humor that blessed her family to her very last breath.  Her family is forever grateful and thankful for her constant demonstration of love, support and care and will be remembered as standing at the door, by Ted’s side waving goodbye, blowing kisses and saying “Be careful, I love you!”
