Donald L. Barnett, age 69 of Glenrock, NE. passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 peacefully at his home with his daughter by his side.
Donald Barnett son of Harold Barnett Sr. and Dorothy (Leslie) Barnett was born on July 23, 1946 in Auburn, NE. He was one of five children born to this marriage.
Don was raised in the Glenrock and Auburn area he was married in 1966. To that marriage one daughter Sheila was born in 1967. Don worked at the Hyde plant in Phellps City, MO and the Hen House Truck Stop in Rockport, MO for many years. Later he worked at the Manildra alcohol plant in Hambrug, IA. He enjoyed working and the many friends and people that touched his life along the way.
He loved the outdoors, building things and remodeling. He was a very hard worker and took pride in his work. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother Harold Barnett Jr.
Survivors include his daughter Shelia Carfield and husband Terry of Herndon, KS; grandchildren, Matt and Meghan Schneider, of Scottsbluff, NE; Heather Schneider and friend of Hoxie, KS, Jacob (Jake) Williams of Stella, NE; Tyler Harold of Trenton, NE; mother Dorothy Barnett of Glenrock, NE; sisters, Joann Barnett of Glenrock, NE and Lucille and Jim Cox of Wisconsin; one brother Ted Barnett of Glenrock, NE; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
