Donnabell I. Andrew, age 93, of Brownville, NE, passed away Tuesday, August 5, at the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn, NE. A funeral service for Donnabell Andrew will be held Saturday, August 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn. Burial will follow at the Nemaha Cemetery near Nemaha, NE.


Obituary:

Donnabell I. (Groff) Andrew daughter of Richard Groff and Pina Ann (Simmons) Groff was born on June 11, 1921 in Auburn, NE. She was one of seven children born to this union.

Donnabell attended school and graduated from Auburn High School. January 8, 1941 she was united in marriage to Melvin L. Andrew at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Omaha, NE. To this marriage four children were born.

They lived on a farm seven miles east and one mile south of Auburn. She worked at the Hinky Dinky in Auburn for fourteen years. Donnabell was active in the O.E.S. Brownville Chapter and received her 50 year pin in 2002.

She had been living with her daughter Donna for the past several years and due to failing health and ongoing illness recently entered the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn, NE. It is there that on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 Donnabell passed away having reached the age of 93 years, 1 month, and 25 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son, one infant daughter Alice Faye, one grandson, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Those left mourn her passing are her children Richard L. Andrew and wife Sharon of Nemaha, NE; Donna Lee Andrew of Brownville, NE; two grandsons, Pat Andrew and Mike Andrew,  two great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter, one great-great-grandson, other relatives and friends.
