Elizabeth (Betty) Helms, age 83, of Auburn, NE, passed away Friday, June 10, 2005, at Nemaha County Good Samaritan Home in Auburn, NE. Funeral services for Elizabeth (Betty) Helms will be held Monday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, NE. Committal Service will be at the Sheridan Cemetery in Auburn, NE.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation for Elizabeth (Betty) Helms is scheduled for Sunday, June 12, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn; NE.

Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Snider daughter of Charles William Snider and Katherine McGrogan Snider was born on May 29, 1922 in Scranton, ND. She was one of two children born to this marriage.
Betty’s family moved from Scranton to Wisconsin when she was eight years old. Betty attended school and graduated from high school in Wisconsin.
She then moved to California for a short time before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1944. While in the service Betty met the love of her life Edward F. Helms. After being honorably discharged in 1946, Betty and her husband moved to Auburn, NE, where they lived the rest of their lives. Betty had worked at the Sewing Factory for 33 years, retiring in 1984. Due to ill health Betty entered Nemaha County Good Samaritan Center in Auburn, NE.
It is there that on Friday, June 10 2005 she passed away having reached the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant sister, and her husband Edward. Those left to mourn her passing are a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
