Elmer L. Howell, age 70 of Auburn, NE, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at his home in Auburn, NE. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, NE. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Military rites will be provided by Auburn American Legion Post 23. Cremation will follow the service.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann Howell of Auburn, NE; Children Cheryl Allen of Auburn, NE; Mark Howell of Lincoln, NE; and Virginia Howell of Omaha, NE; four grandchildren Shaunie and Krystal Allen and Nicholas and Emily Howell; two brothers Ken Howell and wife Carol of Chickasha, OK; Ronnie Howell of Dunbar, NE; sister Gloria Chaney and husband Roy of Nebraska City, NE; three sister-in-laws Andy Tunks of Auburn, NE; Judy Mahood of Council Bluffs, IA; Sharon Hall of Montecello, KY; special friends Claire Shannon of Lincoln, NE; Terrence Easter of St. Louis, MO; and Dennis Allen of Auburn, NE.
