Service Information:
Eugene Jay Duryea, age 71, formerly of Dawson, NE, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Houston Hospice in Houston, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 2 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dawson, NE. Burial will follow at the St. Mary's Cemetery near Dawson. A reception will follow the comittal service at the home of Paul and Polly Duryea at 947 Nemaha in Humboldt, NE.
A rosary is scheduled for Friday, July 1 at 8:00 p.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dawson.

Eugene Jay Duryea
Eugene Jay Duryea son of Cecil Paul Duryea and Francis Irene (Riley) Duryea was born on March 17 1934. He was one of three children born to this union.
Eugene was Baptized at St. Mary Catholic Church in Dawson. He was raised in the Dawson area and Lincoln graduating from Lincoln Cathedral. After high school he attended the University of Nebraska and the University of Houston he entered the U. S. Air Force he was trained as a Russian Linguist and served in Europe he was honorably discharged. Jay lived in Houston Texas most his adult life he enjoyed sailing, was a private pilot, and loved golfing. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Houston. After a short battle with cancer Jay passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 in Houston, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Donald Riley. Those left to mourn his passing are his wife of 47 years Mary Elizabeth Duryea three children Eric Jay Duryea Teresa Wong and husband Jimmy Wong, Pauline Francis Word and husband Kenny, grandchildren Elizabeth Ann Wong and Christopher Kwai Wong, brother Paul Duryea and wife Polly, sister-in-law Peggy Riley nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
