Glenda Jean Elrod

Glenda Jean Elrod, age 73, was born on January 2, 1946, in Loup City, Nebraska to Cecil and Virginia Fern (Reed) Elrod.  She was baptized on October 5, 1947 at the Methodist Church in Litchfield, Nebraska along with her father and siblings.  Glenda has been a resident of Region V Auburn since September 6, 1978.  The family wishes to express our appreciation for all the loving care shown by staff all these many years.  They also would like to thank the community of Auburn for being so kind and welcoming to Glenda.  God’s angels took Glenda to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 8, 2019, in Auburn, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of 73 years, 5 months and 6 days.

Glenda is survived by her brother Mike Elrod & wife Donita of Lincoln, NE; sisters: Catherine Kirby & husband Wilson of Berryville, VA; Lois Snyder of Kearney, NE. Additional family includes nephews, nieces and cousins along with a host of friends and staff of Region V Auburn.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at The Hall Funeral Chapel, 707 15th Street in Auburn, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. Neal J. Anthony, United Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Lincoln officiating.

Cremation, no viewing.  Visitation will be from noon-8 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019, at The Hall Funeral Chapel, 707 15th Street in Auburn, Nebraska. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions are suggested to Region V in Auburn in memory of Glenda.

Private family inurnment will be held at the Litchfield Cemetery in Litchfield, Nebraska at a later date.
