Ilert "Rocky" Rockemann

Ilert “Rocky” Rockemann, 78, of Auburn, Nebraska was born on October 20, 1943 in Auburn, Nebraska to Theodore and Lorene (Hector) Rockemann.  Ilert was raised on his family farm in Nemaha County and attended school in Johnson where he graduated from Johnson High School with the class of 1962.  On August 20, 1971, Ilert was united in marriage to Carol Ann Roth.  To this union three children, Roland Marsha and Kimberly were born.  The couple raised their family in Auburn where Rocky worked for many years at the Triangle Pacific cabinet factory. 

Ilert passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of seventy-eight years, one month and eight days.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol Ann, son-in-law Tom Hume and brother-in-law Ronald Greek. 

Ilert is survived by his son Roland Rockemann of Auburn, NE; daughters: Marsha Hume of Nebraska City, NE; Kim Scrivner of Beatrice, NE; grandchildren: Amber Rockemann of Auburn, NE; Brittany Rockemann of Nebraska City, NE; Thomas Hume of Nebraska City, NE; Kierra Rockemann of Auburn, NE; Anna, Olivia and Bailey Scrivner of Beatrice, NE; Keith Williams of Auburn, NE; Cody Williams and wife Kelly of St. Joseph, MO and Tracy Rockemann, great-grandchildren: Marcus Rockemann of Auburn, NE; Cassandra and Ares Williams of St. Joseph, MO; his sister Cheryl Greek of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law Kathryn Chestnut and husband Leonard of Falls City, NE; brothers-in-law Lewis Roth and wife Donna of Sacramento, CA; Roy Roth of California, and many other relatives and friends. 

A Graveside Inurnment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the Sheridan (West) Cemetery in Auburn, Nebraska with Paula Aughenbaugh officiating. A Celebration of Ilert’s Life will immediately follow the committal service at 1107 14th Street in Auburn. 

Memorial contributions may be given to the family with a later designation.
