John E. Horr, age 85, of rural Stella, passed away on Monday, May 04, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, NE. A funeral service for John E. Horr will be held Thursday, May 7, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, NE. burial will follow at the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Brownville, NE.

John Eston Horr son of Ernest E. Horr and Mary Helen (Helms) Horr was born on December 15, 1929 in Brownville, NE.
John attended school in Brownville thru the 8th grade. He was united in marriage to Helen A. Brown at the Christian Church on June 18, 1955. To this marriage three children were born.
He lived in Brownville and Auburn before moving south of Auburn on highway 75 just north of the Stella corner. John worked as a farm hand for Bill Sybert for many years, and worked for Andrews Monuments for 19 years. John was artistic and good with his hands laying out stone designs and sandblasting granite. He also worked at the Auburn Landfill when it was in operation.
Due to recent illness John entered St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, NE. It is there that he passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and his wife Helen.
John is survived by his children, Sharon Magnussen of Lincoln, NE ; John Horr and wife Pam of Oshkosh, NE; Ruth Gosset of rural Stella, NE; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
