Karen B. Collins, age 63, a resident of Falls City, NE died July 27, 2004 at Community Medical Center in Falls City, NE. She was born July 12, 1941, in Atchison, KS, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Cameron) Ford.
Karen received her schooling at Bern High School. Karen enjoyed crossword puzzles, cross stitch, spending time at Stanton Lake, and had a love for yellow roses. She was also a devoted Nascar and wrestling fan.
She worked for Falls City Care Center as a housekeeper, then was employed at Midland Villa Nursing Home, and the Check-In Motel also a housekeeper.
She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother Dale Wayne.
Ms. Collins is survived by sons David Merz and wife Tracy, Donald Merz and wife Brenda, Dean Merz and wife Tonya, all of Horton, KS; daughter Diana Merz of Circleville, KS; brother Kenneth Ford of St. Joseph, MO; sisters Kay Banks and husband Bob, Malden, MO, Janet Price and husband Jim, Grandview, MO, Virginia Russell of Glendale, AZ, Frankie Pais of Huntingdon, IN; numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren; special friends Liz Kaster, Cheri Adams, Luanna Shields, Michele Wendtlandt, and Paula Fritz all of Falls City, NE.
