Larry D. Troncin, age 68, of Falls City, NE passed away Friday, February 26, at the Community Medical Center in Falls City. A graveside funeral service for Larry D. Troncin will be held Wednesday, March 2, at 2:00 p.m. at the Steele Cemetery in Falls City. Graveside military honors will be provided by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard. Rhonda Boeckman will be officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home in Falls City, NE.
Family has requested casual dress.
Obituary:
Larry Dean Troncin son of Dean O. Troncin and Leota F. (Mckim) Troncin was born on October 9, 1947 in Maryville, MO. He was one of four children born to this union.
After his mother’s death the family moved to Falls City in 1958. Larry attended Falls City public school and graduated from Falls City High School in 1964. He enlisted in the United States Navy. He served his country honorably and continued his service after the Navy in the Army Reserves.
He was united in marriage to Valerie Bestwick in March of 1970 to this marriage two daughters were born.
Larry worked at Wooding’s Manufacturing, he loved going to flea markets and collecting knives, guns and coins. Family and friends remember the many years Larry would be Santa Claus for the Gambles Store, and for the kids in town.
He was united in marriage to Alice Koso on May 3, 1985 in Falls City, NE. The couple made their home on Wilson Street. Larry loved spending time with his grandchildren and loved his dog Pup-pup.
Larry due to sudden illness was taken from his home to the Community Medical Center in Falls City on Friday, February 26, it there that at the age of 68 Larry passed away. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother in infancy and his sister Linda Chesnut.
He is survived by wife Alice Troncin of Falls City, NE; two daughters Leota Specht of Verdon, NE; Tina Carney (Rich) of Lincoln, NE; step-daughter Tonia White (John) of Falls City, NE; step-mother Gerry Troncin of Falls City, NE; brother Gary L. Troncin (Denise) of Marysville, MO; brother-in-law Jim Chesnut of Reserve, KS; grandchildren, Devin, Dayton, Donovan and Dane, Jacob, Naomi, Richard Jr. Lance and Jordan, great-grandchildren, Easton and Rainey, other relatives and friends.
