Loren (Denny) Schuler, age 76 of Golden, CO, formerly of Auburn, NE. Passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Collier Hospice in Goldern, CO. A graviside service for Loren (Denny) Schuler will be held Friday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sheridan Cemetery in Auburn, NE.

Loren Dennis Schuler, known to most as "Denny," was born in Pawnee City, Nebraska, on May 21, 1935.
He passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at the Collier Hospice in Golden, CO, at the age of 76 years and 7 days.
Denny graduated from the Auburn High School in 1953, and then attended Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska, where he graduated with the class of 1957.
He was united in marriage to Loraine Della Bippes on May 29, 1957. Following their marriage they moved to North Dakota, where he began his work with the United States Geological Survey. To this marriage two daughters; Lori and Linda were born. During his employment by the U.S.G.S. the family lived in many places throughout the United States. In 1964 they moved to Colorado, and lived in various places in the state. While living in Genesse, CO. Denny was Fire Chief of the local fire department, for many years. After Denny retired, he and Loraine traveled until moving to Woodland Park, CO. where Loriane passed away on February 1, 2006. He married Kim White in 2008, and lived in Golden, Colorado until his death.
He is survived by his wife Kim Schuler of Golden CO; daughters, Lori Dunker and husband Randy of Denver, CO; Linda Flanders and husband Matt of Loveland, CO; 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, one half brother Jack Summerfield of Bend, OR; other relatives and friends.
