Louise Mae (Jacobitz) Nelson

Louise Mae Nelson, 98, formerly of Stella, Nebraska was born on June 5, 1921 in Bostwick, Nebraska to Henry and Josephine (Garver) Jacobitz.  Louise grew up in Nelson, Nebraska where she received her schooling and graduated from Nelson High School.  She was united in marriage to Carl Timmerman and to this union two children, Bill and Mary were born.  After Carl’s passing in 1979, Louise was later married to Arthur Nelson.  She lived in Stella, Nebraska for many years where she worked as a cook at the school and was a member of the Grace Bible Church.  Louise went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 22, 2020, passing away at the Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of ninety-eight years, nine months and seventeen days. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Carl Timmerman and Arthur Nelson, a brother Norman “Bud” (Lillian) Jacobitz and sisters: Helen (Orville) Teselle, Betty (Earl) Adamson and Shirley (Ted) Lyons.

Louise is survived by her loving children: Bill Timmerman of Rock Port, MO; Mary (David) Matheson of Northboro, IA; grandchildren: Randall (Rachael) Timmerman of Jefferson City, MO; Robert (Stephanie) Timmerman of Jefferson City, MO; Scott (Alicia) Timmerman of Columbia, MO; Tricia (Jim) Schwebach of Nevada, MO; Nick (Nicole) Matheson of Hamburg, IA; 15 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at the Grace Bible Church in Stella, Nebraska with Tom Jacobitz officiating.  Family requests all attendees to please dress in bright and colorful attire in Louise’s memory.

Inurnment will be at the Prairie Union Cemetery following services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Southeast Nebraska Cancer Garden.
