Mabel M. Ebert, age 98, of Auburn, NE, passed away Saturday, May 23 at the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn. A funeral service for Mabel Ebert will be held Wednesday, May 27, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn. Burial will follow at the St. Paul Cemetery near Talmage, NE.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12 at the Hall Funeral Chapel.

Mabel M. Ebert
Mabel Maggie Fahrenholz daughter of Henry and Gretje (Nordbrock) Fahrenholz was born on June 4, 1916 on a farm southwest of Talmage, NE. She was one of four children born to this union.
She was baptized and later confirmed into the Lutheran Faith at the Trinity (Faith) Lutheran Church in Talmage. She attended school at Grant School No. 9 near Talmage.
Early in her life Mabel lived with her parents and helped work the farm.
On February 12, 1955 she was united in marriage to Reinhart Gasser of Kennard, NE. She and her husband made their home on a farm southwest of Talmage where she was born. Reinhart passed away on November 4, 1981.
On June 4, 1991 Mabel was united in marriage to Virgil Ebert of Moberly, MO. Virgil and Mabel then moved to Missouri where they lived until Virgil’s passing on June 3, 2005. Mabel returned to Nebraska and in 2009 due to ill health she entered the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn.
It is there that on Saturday, May 23, 2015 Mabel passed away having reached the age of 98 years 11 months, and 19 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and three sisters, Anna Rippe, Hilka Hanken, Leta Armknecht.
She is survived by step children Donald, Larry, and Ronald (Donna) Ebert and Donna Morris, Step grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Donna Riggins of Brock, NE; Lois Riggins of Johnson, NE; Marvin Rippe and wife Lois of Ava, MO, Harlan Gathje of Kennard, NE; Harold Gathje of South Sioux, NE; other relatives and friends.
