Marvin Tyson Obituary

Marvin Gene Tyson, 72, of Falls City, Nebraska was born October 29, 1947, in Kearney, Nebraska to Remy Sidney and Margaret Kathryn (Schuller) Tyson.  On December 29, 1966, Marvin enter active duty in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas.  He was honorably discharged on February 21, 1967.  Marvin worked for many years as a farmhand on the YP Ranch in Idaho before moving to Falls City to be closer to his family.  Marvin passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at the Falls City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Falls City, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of seventy-two years, four months and seventeen days.  He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Jonathan Tyson, a brother Bill Halsey and step-daughter Wendi Tyson.

Marvin  is survived by sons: Marvin Tyson Jr. and wife Peggy Ann of Lincoln, NE; Ronny Tyson of Falls City, NE; daughter Amy Phroper and husband Michael of Falls City, NE; grandchildren: Tashia Tyson of Lincoln, Brittany Phelps and husband Chris of Lincoln, Nick Tyson of Omaha, Katie Burianek of Lincoln, Jesse Burianek of Lincoln, Shilo Williams and husband Daron of DeWitt, NE; Miracle Swanson of Falls City, NE; Caylan Lee of Falls City, NE; Zander & Dakota Phroper of Falls City, NE; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother Steve Halsey of Hastings, NE; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.      

Family Memorial Services will be held privately at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
