Mary Evelyn (Frederick) Fouraker

Mary Evelyn (nee Frederick) Fouraker, 98, of Falls City, Nebraska was born on March 13, 1922, in Rulo, Nebraska to John Herman and Catheron Annette (nee Kanaly) Frederick.  Mary grew up seven miles southwest of Falls City until marrying Harold “Harry” Edwin Fouraker on June 1, 1940, at which time they moved to the town of Salem.  She later moved to Falls City in 1990, two years after the death of her husband.

Mary passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at the Falls City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center having reached the earthly age of ninety-eight years, eight months, and sixteen days.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry, sons Gerald and Edwin Joseph Fouraker, daughter-in-law Virginia Kentopp Fouraker, daughters: Patricia Fouraker, Sonjia Shaw Kunze, Pauline Ann Fouraker, grandson Joseph Fouraker Jr., brothers Joseph and John Frederick, and 5 sisters: Regina Eickelberger, Catheron Collins, Bernadette Guzzardo, Margaret Porter and Betty Johnson.

Mary is survived by her sons: John Fouraker of Salem, NE; Patrick Fouraker of Tecumseh, NE; daughters: Kathryn Johnson and husband Butch of Eudora, KS; Helen Fouraker of Bellevue, NE; Regina Farrell and husband David of Winston, OR; a brother James Frederick of Menlo Park, CA; a sister Cecilia Collins of Muskogee, OK; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Falls City with Father Lawrence Stoley officiating.  Social distancing and masks are required for all attending services.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at the Hall Funeral Home, 2403 Harlan Street in Falls City, Nebraska.  A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Falls City.

Interment will immediately follow services at the Maple Cemetery in Salem, Nebraska.

Memorial contributions may be given to Sacred Heart Catholic School or to family’s choice.
