Michael Ruch Obituary

Michael Leroy Ruch ,70, of Dawson, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at his home in Dawson.  He was born on September 18, 1955, in Falls City, Nebraska to Miles Edmund and Phyllis Jean (McIlvain) Ruch.  Michael was raised in Dawson where he received his schooling and attended Dawson-Verdon High School.  On October 8, 1983, Michael was united in marriage to Patricia “Pat” Fiene in Falls City, Nebraska.  The couple made their home in Dawson for many years while Michael worked various jobs in the Dawson and Falls City area.  

Michael is survived by his stepchildren: John Raney and wife Jessica of Falls City, Michelle Kramer and husband Charles of Falls City, grandchildren: Jessie Raney, Victor Henson, Jennifer McBride, Annajean Eaton, and Chelsea O’Grady; 11 great-grandchildren, his brother Miles Ruch of Craig, MO; stepbrother Christopher Rader of Blue Rapids, KS; half-brother Forrest Gaston of Sabetha, KS; half-sister Margo   and husband Barney of Dawson, NE; and many other cousins, relatives, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, half-brothers Mark Schnedler and Joey Gaston.

A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at a later date with inurnment next to his wife Patricia at the Harris Cemetery in Barada, Nebraska.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
