Paul Theodore Schmidt

Paul T. Schmidt, age 78, of Falls City, NE passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at the Careage Estates Nursing Home in Falls City, NE. A Funeral Service for Paul T. Schmidt will be held Saturday, February 11, at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Falls City. There will be a luncheon at the church Saturday at 11:30 a.m.  Interment will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Steele Cemetery in Falls City, NE.

A viewing and visitation for Paul T. Schmidt is scheduled Friday, February 10, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Assembly of God church in Falls City. Family will greet freinds from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church. There will be no viewing at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife Karen Schmidt of Falls City, NE; sister Dorothy Last of Lincoln, NE; nephew Mike Last of Lincoln, NE; niece Cindy Schieffellen; other relatives and many friends.

                 Paul Theodore Schmidt son of Alfred Schmidt and Alma (Karston) Schmidt was born on November 18, 1927 in Preston, NE.

             Paul was raised around Falls City, NE. He was united in marriage to Karen L. Nissen on August 1, 1959 at  the Christ Lutheran Church in Falls City, NE.

 Paul had worked various jobs through out his life he sat pins at the bowling alley, worked different farms, Magnolia Metals in Auburn, NE, Cabinet Factory in Falls City, Brownville Nuclear Plant, Bridge Gang for the County, and a Janitor for the Falls City court house.

Paul was a member of the Good News Assembly of God Church in Falls City, NE. He was baptized by Rev. Albert Zook in 1977. He and Karen were never blessed with children but he was a loving husband and they spent many years together.

 Due to ongoing illness Paul entered Careage Estates Nursing Home in Falls City on August 6, 2004. It is there that he passed away having reached the age of 78 years. he was preceded in death by his parents.

Paul is survived by his wife Karen Schmidt of Falls City, NE; one sister Dorothy Last of Lincoln, NE; nephew Mike Last and niece Cindy Shieffellen other relatives and many friends.
