Peggy Gildersleeve Obituary

Peggy Lee Gildersleeve, 84, of Falls City passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Falls City, Nebraska. She was born as only child to Charles and Helen (Thompson) Holstrum on August 18th, 1941, in Kansas City, Kansas. Peggy met Wilfred Gildersleeve through mutual friends, and they were married on December 20th, 1969. The couple spent 56 years together. When she married Wilfred, she became an instant mom to his 2 sons, Randy (who was 9 at the time) and Joe (who was 5). Peggy worked for the Faultless Starch Company for almost 40 years before retiring. Peggy loved her family. She loved celebrating holidays and birthdays and would never say “no” to anything chocolate! She always enjoyed reading good books and playing games on her laptop. She always had a smile on her face.

Peggy is survived by her husband Wilfred Gildersleeve of Falls City, NE; sons: Randy Gildersleeve of St. Joseph, MO; Joe (Heather) Gildersleeve of Falls City, NE; grandchildren: Colton (Katie) Gildersleeve of Falls City, NE; Heather Phelps of Texas, great-grandchildren: Xavier and Baron Gildersleeve, and other friends and family.
