Richard Lee Draper, 85, formerly of Nemaha, Nebraska was born on May 3, 1935 in Yuma, Colorado to Frank and Edith (Kindel) Draper. On September 12, 1969, Richard was united in marriage to Edith Thomas at the Pleasant View Church in Golden, Colorado. To this union a daughter, Thelma, was born. The couple lived in Colorado for many years where Richard was head custodian in public schools. They moved to Potter, Nebraska in 1992 and later moved to Nemaha, Nebraska in 1997. They had recently moved to Humboldt, Nebraska.
Richard passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020, at his home in Humboldt, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of eighty-five years, two months and thirty days. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Jeannette Draper and Patty (Wayne) Wilson.
Richard is survived by his loving wife Edith Draper of Humboldt, NE; daughter Thelma Draper of Lakewood, CO; grandchildren: Crystal (Eric) Tanner of Auburn, NE; Ariel Gonzales of Lakewood, CO; Ashley Draper of Humboldt, NE; 7 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Richard has given his body for the gift of donation and no services are scheduled.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family with a later designation.
