She is survived by her children Darlene and husband Dean Volker of Nemaha, NE; Lillian and husband Leland Bohling of Fremont, NE; Orva Jean and husband Arnold Gobber of Elk Creek, NE; Robert and wife Delta Boden of Auburn, NE; Elvera Jenkins of Johnson, NE; Marlin and wife Linda Boden of Nemaha, NE; Willard and wife Janice Boden of Nemaha, NE; 18 grandchildren, one sister Bertha Eilers of Sterling.

Obituary

                  Rosa Grace Hesterman daughter of Johann Hesterman and Anna (Agena) Hesterman was born on October 15, 1911 in Sterling, Nebraska, she was one of 11 children.

                  Rosa was baptized in to the Lutheran faith on November 30, 1911 by Rev. Firnhaber at the Immanuel Lutheran Church west of Sterling. She spent her youth in Sterling were she attended school up through the 8th grade.

                  Rosa was united in marriage to Herman Boden on February 18, 1931 at the Lutheran Parsonage west of Sterling. There were eight children born to this union. In 1934 she moved to Peru, NE and in 1945 moved to rural Nemaha. In 1958 Rosa and her family moved in to Nemaha.

She was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn, was a member of the Champion Club, LWML, taught Sunday school, she enjoyed flowers, and to crochet.

Due to failing health Rosa entered the Nemaha County Good Samaritan on August 11, 1998 and it is there that on Saturday, January 29, 2005 she passed away having reached the age of 93 years old. Her parents, husband Herman, one son Dalen, one grandson Tim Gobber, one great-grandson Dirk Bohling, nine brothers and sisters and one son-in-law all preceded her in death.

Those left to mourn her passing are her children, Darlene Volker and husband Dean of Nemaha, NE; Lillian Bohling and husband Leland of Fremont, NE; Orva Jean Gobber and husband Arnold of Elk Creek, NE; Robert and Delta Boden of Auburn, NE; Elvera Jenkins of Johnson, NE; Marlin Boden and wife Linda of Nemaha, NE; Willard Boden and wife Janice of Nemaha, NE. 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and sister Bertha Eilers of  Sterling, NE; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
