Sally Sue Severs

Sally Sue Severs age 62 of Auburn, NE passed away Friday, November 11, 2005 at the Nemaha County Good Samaritan in Auburn, NE. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 14, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn, NE. A private family committal service will follow at a later date. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, November 13, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn.

Sally is survived by her husband John Severs of Auburn; Children John Jr. and wife Linda Severs of Lake Port, CA; Dianette Severs and Vaughn and wife Kim Severs of Auburn; 7 grandchildren; sister Joy Welch; brothers Kent Welch, Mike Welch, Tom Welch and Jerry Welch.

Obituary

                 Sally Sue (Welch) Severs, daughter of James Welch III and Mildred Jewel (Kruger) Welch was born March 1, 1943 in Auburn, NE. Sally was one of seven children born to this marriage.

                 Sally attended school at the Auburn Public Schools and also in Columbia, MO. She graduated high school from Auburn High School in 1962.  Sally was united in marriage to John Severs on September 6, 1963 at the Christian Church in Auburn, NE. Sally and John raised three children together.

Sally enjoyed spending her time playing cards, especially pitch, rummy and UNO. She was also liked to complete word puzzles and crochet. But most of all, Sally was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

Sally entered the Nemaha County Good Samaritan Center in February of 2000 due to failing health and it was there that she passed away on November 11, 2005 having reached the age of  62 years, 8 months and 10 days. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Those left to mourn her passing are her husband John Severs of Auburn; Children John Jr. and wife Linda of Lake Port, CA, Dianette Severs of Omaha, NE and Vaughn and wife Kim Severs of Auburn, NE; 7 grandchildren; brothers James Kent Welch of Burnsville, MN, Michel Welch of Omaha, NE, Tom and wife Ronda Welch of Greeley, CO, Jerry and wife Marci Welch of Arizona and sister Joy Welch of Lincoln, NE, sister-in-laws Bonnie and husband Don Wright of Auburn, NE, Cathy McConnell and husband Robert of Brock, NE, Linda Gray of Auburn, NE and brother-in-law Gerald Severs of Humboldt, NE, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
