Shannon’s Way
I saw her small tiny face and wrinkled up body as she entered my world, barely any hair on her head not even one curl. But that I learned would be o.k. it was Shannon’s way. I held her hand and touched her face all the love we shared together can never be replaced, so many changes would come in her life but I knew for sure she would be a good sister, daughter, mother, and wife but I learned that was ok, it was Shannon’s way. She would always the last word not standing in judgment on any given day I learned again it would be Shannon’s way. She loved to talk on the phone and we all knew she had plenty to say, but you always knew it was her when she would say Hey! Hey! I learned again it would be Shannon’s way. She is now jumping and running her body once again is whole, her hair is long and beautiful and black as coal.
