Sharon Kay (Myers) Andrew, 74, of Brownville, Nebraska was born July 14, 1942 in Auburn, Nebraska to James H. and Erma E. (Wyland) Myers. Sharon was raised by her grandparents David and Mildred Morgan in Auburn where she attended grade school and graduated from Auburn High School. On December 4, 1959, Sharon was united in marriage to Richard L. "Dick" Andrew in Auburn, Nebraska. To this union three sons, Patrick, Michael, and David were born. Sharon began her working career as Deputy County Treasurer for Nemaha County. She then worked for the Postal Service delivering rural mail to the communities Brownville and Nemaha for over thirty years. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that cherished her loving family and the time she spent with them. She enjoyed gardening, animals, and cross word puzzles. But most of all, Sharon loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sharon passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at her home in rural Brownville, Nebraska having reached the age of seventy-four years, four months, and nine days. She was preceded in death by her father James Myers, son David Andrew, and parents-in-law Melvin and Donnabelle Andrew.
Sharon is survived by her husband Richard "Dick" Andrew of Nemaha, NE; sons: Patrick Andrew and his wife Kathy of rural Brownville, NE; Michael Andrew and his wife Janet of Auburn, NE; mother Erma Witter of Plattsmouth, NE; many loved and cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers: David (Donna) Hill of North Branch, MN; Doug (Sammy) Hill of Bellevue, NE; a sister Denise (Paul) Frank of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law Donna Andrew of Brownville, NE; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Private Family Memorial Services will be held privately at a late date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Auburn Christian Church.
