Shirley D (Sumner) Bowers

Shirley D. (Sumner) Bowers, 86, of Falls City, Nebraska was born on April 23, 1937, in Tecumseh, Nebraska to Floyd and Mildred (Carmine) Sumner.  She was united in marriage to Delmar D. Bowers and the couple were married for 70 years.  Shirley passed away on Monday, December 11th, 2023, at the Fall City Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Falls City, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of 86 years, 7 months, and 18 days. She is preceded in death by her parents; son William D. Bowers and grandson Christopher D. Bowers.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband Delmar D. Bowers, daughter Rhonda Willis and her husband Duane, son Dana Bowers and his wife Melanie, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family and friends. She will be truly missed.

No public services for Shirley will be held. Private family services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Falls City Humane Society.
