Twila Hochstein Obituary

Twila Marlene Hochstein, 77, of Falls City, Nebraska was born on September 22, 1943, in Shubert, Nebraska to Norman E. and Bonna J. (Marchand) Alexander. She spent most of her childhood with her family in Shubert, but her family moved around a bit and Twila spent some of her school years in central Iowa.  The family eventually moved back to southeast Nebraska where Twila graduated from Shubert High School with the class of 1962.  In June of 1962, Twila was united in marriage to Gary Beutler and to this union two children, Marty and Marcy were born.  The couple would later divorce.  On September 22, 1974, Twila was united in marriage to David Hochstein and to this union two children, Scott and Sheri were born.  Twila and Dave were married for twenty-seven years before divorcing.  Twila then lived in Oklahoma for many years before returning to Nebraska where she has resided in Falls City since.  She enjoyed bowling, reading, fishing, shopping, traveling, visiting with friends and family and every dog she met.  Twila will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Twila passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Bryan LGH Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of seventy-seven years, one month and fourteen days.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Joyce Macklin, a brother Wayne Alexander, soulmate David Hochstein and a nephew Timothy Macklin.

Twila is survived by her children: Marty Beutler and wife Becky of Omaha, Marcy Jones and husband Steve of Omaha, Scott Hochstein and wife Erin of Missouri Valley, IA; Sheri Hochstein of Omaha, grandchildren: Montana (Shae) Duryea of Omaha, Desirae (Hager) Martin and husband Chase of Omaha, Breanne Beutler of Omaha, Riley Beutler-Jones of Omaha, Brennan Hochstein of Ames, IA; Brittney Beutler of Omaha, Shadow Siefken of Omaha, Kiera Hochstein of Missouri Valley, IA; Zoe Siefken of Omaha, Lauren Hochstein of Missouri Valley, IA; sisters: Nancy Stokes of Falls City, NE; Connie Alexander of Beatrice, NE; brothers: Gary (Alice) Alexander of Auburn, NE; Glenn (Angie) Alexander of rural Humboldt, NE; Landon (Jan) Alexander of Shubert, NE; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life is open to the public and will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at the Hall Funeral Chapel, 707 15th Street in Auburn, Nebraska with Pastor Ben Moore officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2020, at the Hall Funeral Chapel.

Inurnment will be at the Nemaha Cemetery following services.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family with a later designation.
